If you are a Caregiver or Family Member of someone with mild memory problems

The Memory Tree is designed to meet the family caregiver’s needs. If you are caring for someone with mild memory problems or if they are in the Early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, this program is for you. If you are a caregiver, most likely you are female, (though there are also male caregivers; husbands, sons, nephews ) and you bear the brunt of this demanding role. Being a caregiver often means that you neglect their own care, while ensuring that the Alzheimer’s person’s needs receive priority.

If you find yourself feeling isolated, depressed and overwhelmed emotionally and physically in your role of caring for someone with a memory problem, The Memory
Tree is the place for you.

The Memory Tree provides a place close to home where you will have the opportunity to meet with others, learn ways to take care of yourself while acquiring skill to enhance care to their family member.

The program also allows you to have the opportunity to share your feelings with others. Lectures and discussion groups focus on understanding the nature of the illness as well as on planning for future needs. On-site stress reduction programs such as chair yoga and relaxation classes help to learn ways to feel more control of your life while helping to create social networks with other caregivers.
